Benjakitti Park
Benjakitti Park is dazzlingly beautiful, with various flowers that take turns blooming all year. The park was designed with the intention to be the first waterlogged park in Bangkok, two-thirds or around 14 hectares of the park’s front area was used to build a large pond under the concept of “Pa Rak Nam” (Forest Protecting Water Resource), connecting to the back area, where forest park was created by stimulating forests from different regions in Thailand. Moreover, there are spaces for various activities such as Benjakitti ground, Ong Phra ground, outdoor amphitheater, health park, playground, walkway, bicycle lane, pavilions, and parking space.
Benchasiri Park
Benchasiri Park was built primarily to cater to the needs of its users. This park was designed by assessing the survey outcomes of the needs of local people to create the perfect garden according to the people’s expectations. Overall, about 70 percent of the public park area is green open space in order to show the beautiful sky to residents who have previously seen only crowded conditions and surrounded by high-rise buildings. Besides, large trees lined along the park perimeter also provide shade, lush nature, and greenery. Attractions in the park include a musical fountain show, sports area, swimming pool, playground and occasional activities are Dharma in the park, and music in the park.
Chatuchak Park
Chatuchak Park is known as the people’s paradise park because urban health-conscious people in the northern part of the city can walk and run under the shady trees along the walkways among nature. Furthermore, there is the literature garden, herb garden, and fish pond bridge. The public can also enjoy water recreational activities – rowing boats and pedaling boats, and exercise at the health park.

King Rama IX Memorial Park (Rama 9 National Park)
The main concept of Rama 9 Park was designed on 5 aspects: honoring King Rama 9, promoting academic excellence, collecting local flora, preserving fauna, and providing relaxation spots. Attractions: International Garden, exhibiting the unique landscaping of gardens from seven nations- China, Japan, Spain, England, France, Italy, and America. The Choeng Pha Garden is decorated with rocks of various sizes and groups of ornamental plants. The Stone Wall Garden is decorated with layering pink stones and beautiful flowering plants. The Lotus Garden exhibits various types of lotus flowers for study. The Magnolia Corner collects Magnolia family plants with charming fragrances.
Rommaneenat Park
Rommaneenat Park has two outstanding features: A place to relax, exercise, and organize activities for the people in the Phra Nakhon area and a place for preserving historical sites, which show the Thai-style architecture with European influence during the reign of King Rama V. Attractions: The bronze conch sculpture located at the highest point in the middle of the fountain pond, the Chaloem Phrakiat Fountain, Health Garden, and the Corrections Museum.
Queen Sirikit Park
Her Majesty Queen Sirikit Park was continuously developed to connect geographically and aesthetically with the adjacent Wachirabenchathat Park (Rod Fai Park) and Chatuchak Park. All 3 parks combined into a huge green space in the city that brings nature into the city and increases the value of urban environment. The concept of “Learning Park” was introduced by presenting the park as a perfect example of a “botanical Garden” in Thailand. Attractions include the Botanical Garden, the Lotus Garden, the Garden of 76 Auspicious Trees from 76 provinces in Thailand, and The Mai Hom Nom Klao Garden, which collects various fragrant plants and plants from literature for learning and conservation purposes.
Wachirabenchathat Park (Rod Fai Park)
Wachirabenchathat Park” is an important park for urban environment and lifestyles. This public park was created as a “Family Park” packed with various activities to attract family members of all ages. This green open space provides lush green space that helps people feel relaxed and free. Lumphini Park
Lumphini Park is characterized as a “Multi-Functional Park”. It is a public park with various uses for recreational activities for the people. The park is the location of the recreation center, various associations, and clubs with the overall concept of being a green space that is unique in its shadiness from large old trees growing among nature. Attractions: The statue of King Rama VI, Lumpini Park Public Library, water bikes and rowing boats, music in the garden, etc.
Saranrom Royal Garden
The liveliness of Saranrom Park begins daily at dawn. It is usual to see the flow of people in the Rattanakosin Island area flocking to exercise of their liking. Various activities involving arts and culture, such as Tai Chi, sword dance, baton twirling, and ballroom dance, can be seen both in the morning and evening. Attractions: The Greenhouse building is a one-story glass panel hall, with a rooftop decorated with intricate woodwork, the beautiful Brass Band Pavilion, and The Gate with floral patterns; the park also hosts performances such as music in the park and Thai and international music performances, alternating with other parks in Bangkok.
Santiphap Park (Park for Peace)
Santiphap Park is uniquely designed to be an urban forest park. The park provides shade and lush nature in the center of the city. The pond at the center of the park provides a good attraction to the park, with a fountain for a calm and peaceful atmosphere free from outside noise because the park not only permits basic utility buildings to be built but also helps to absorb dust and provides fresh air inside the park. In addition, recreational activities such as music in the park performances also help turn the park into a place for socialization where family members come together to listen to their favorite songs and picnic in the evening. This is the origin of the idea “Music Park” of Bangkok, “The City of Music”.
Ramintra Sports Park
Ramintra Sports Park has a forest park landscaped to create a lush forest environment with various plants. There are pathways for walking, running, and cycling. The pathways weave through sloped land surrounded by forest parks, which create an interesting natural environment to help boost exercise activities. A wide area for sports and recreation activities built up to standard for sports including football, basketball, sepak takraw, and swimming.

Seri Thai Park
Seri Thai Park was established according to His Majesty King Bhumibol’s initiative, to be a water retention pond for flood prevention on the east side of Bangkok. Attractions in the park such as an island full of colorful flowering plants, a gazebo for relaxation, and the Free Thai Memorial Museum, which exhibits the importance of the Free Thai Movement in Thai history.
Santichaiprakarn Park
This park is designed to be a place where people can relax and enjoy the beauty of the Chao Phraya River. This is one of two parks in Bangkok designed to be a waterfront park. The iconic Santichai Prakan Throne Hall and sculptures of urban lifestyles in Bang Lamphu area throughout the time.
Thonburirom Park
Thonburirom Park is a suburban park that allows people to feel the scent and touch of nature. Even though urbanization has transformed the surrounding area from agricultural lands into condominiums and residence buildings, the park remains a calming, peaceful, and green space for the Thonburi area. The park is green with lush green trees and colorful flower bushes. Trellises full of ornamental climbing plants adorn the winding pathways along the sprawling pond, where people can enjoy various species of water lilies, including the gigantic Victoria water lily. People can relax in different pavilions while enjoying the sound of chirping birds and rare plant species in the park. There is also a children’s traffic park with bicycle lanes and road signs where youngsters can practice bicycle riding and follow traffic rules and road manners.
Wanatham Park
Wanatham Park is the first public park that adapts Buddhist teachings and doctrines to concept design. Thus, there are sculptures showing Buddha words and dhamma puzzles. The aim is to understand Buddha’s words better and help calm the mind, which brings about physical and spiritual relaxation without fully disconnecting from the community outside. The park is divided into 3 zones, connected by bridges.

The Princess Mother Memorial Park
The park now serves as a community park and a local history museum. The park is also a place to honor the Princess, Mother of King Bhumibol. There are old buildings preserved, a bronze statue of the Princess Mother in a sitting manner presided at the entrance of the park, a model of her childhood house, a gazebo, an inscription of the background of the park, and a bas-relief highlighting her various missions including visiting the people in needs, dispatching volunteer doctors to rural areas, as well as establishing Border Patrol Police Schools.
Chulalongkorn University Centenary Park
This park’s design concept is to increase green space with big trees in the area and increase diversity with various naturally growing plants to create an urban forest that provides the community with a green, refreshing, and beautiful park. The park’s design was inspired by the root networks of rain trees and connected with the urban green infrastructure of the urban community. The park’s water retention capacity and water resource circulation were excellently designed to be a model of urban water retention. This will benefit local ecosystem and recreational activities of local people as well.
Sanam Luang Ground
Sanam Luang is a multi-functional park at the heart of Bangkok, located north of The Grand Palace near the Chao Phraya River. Sanam Luang was formerly called Thung Phra Men, which means the royal cremation ground in Thai, as it was used as a location for several crematoriums of members of the royal family. King Rama IV renamed this Sanam Luang, which means the royal ground in Thai, and planted 365 tamarind trees around the park during his reign. Sanam Luang, though, has still been used as a location of royal crematoriums for high-level members of the royal family. In the trade wind season, Sanam Luang turns into a playground for kite players and exercises in November. Sanam Luang was inaugurated by the order of King Rama I when the boundaries of the Grand Palace were set up. Sanam Luang was a trapezoid area between the Grand Palace and the Front Palace. When Bangkok was first established, the area was a paddy field for the locals. Nowadays, it functions as a public park for urban people to exercise in the mornings and take a stroll in the evenings.
PUEY Park for the People or Talad Noi Community Museum
PUEY Park for the People at Talat Noi, near Yaowarat and Chao Phraya River, is the hometown of Professor Dr.Puey Ungphakorn. To honor the late economist, whose childhood home was in the community, the Treasury Department and Talad Noi Community, in collaboration with Arsom Silp Institute of the Arts, have developed the land into a community museum and an area for social activities. This cute little public space goes by many names: Puey Ungphakorn Art Park, Puey Unphakorn Museum, or Talad Noi Community Museum. A slice of paradise in the middle of one of Bangkok’s most densely populated areas, the pocket park features a riverfront yard shadowed by gigantic trees and a walking lane, making it a great resting spot after a long day.

Wat Hua Lamphong Rukkhaniwet Pocket Park
The community behind Wat Hua Lamphong has been created for recreational activities, health, and stress relief. The park is equipped with exercise equipment, walkways, a recreational area, and pavilions with various themes of activities. Various trees and herbs in the park provide shade, aroma, and greenery for local people. It is located near Sam Yan and Silom. There is a courtyard for multi-purpose activities. The space is the first of four collaborative urban greening projects between the public and private sectors and the general public.
